Dr. Luke Charms* went to Tufts University in Boston, receiving his first degrees in psychology and fine art. After relocating to NYC, Dr. Charms earned a masters in communications and worked as a digital arts professor, freelance art director, and ultimately an advertising creative director. Unsatisfied by the mercenary character of his work in advertising, Dr. Charms was fortunate enough to change careers: He successfully attended NYU College of Dentistry and delivered the commencement address for his graduating class. Dr. Charms was chief resident in NYU’s AEGD program with Lutheran Medical Center, where he specialized in treatment planning for complex cases. Today, Dr. Charms is focused on delivering the gentlest possible care to nervous patients who require extra compassionate treatment. Dr. Charms speaks English, along with some Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. *His surname used to be, Harms. Unfortunate. When he finally found a partner whose last name started with a C, they portmanteau’d and became the Charms family.
