Implant Process at Creating Dental Excellence

Step 1

Our experienced surgeons precisely place the dental implant into the jawbone, ensuring that the top of the implant slightly protrudes. A screw is then attached to the implant to prevent gum tissue and debris from entering. Following this, the gum tissue is carefully sutured over the implant.

The implant remains beneath the gum for a period of 3-6 months to allow for osseointegration, where the bone integrates with the implant. Patients may experience some swelling or discomfort for a few days after the procedure. To manage this, we provide effective pain relief options to ensure comfort. During the recovery period, we recommend a diet consisting of soft, cold foods and warm soups.

Step 2

At your next appointment, we will uncover the implant and attach a component called a "post." This allows the gum tissue to heal around the post. Depending on the type of implant, a second surgical procedure might be necessary to attach the post that will support the replacement teeth. In some cases, the post is placed during the initial surgery. Once the healing process is complete, the implant and post will provide a stable foundation for your new tooth.
